Exploring Trinity - Orientation and Basic Beliefs: (North Parlor, Level 2 – Room 8,) You may enter this 7-week class at any time! We offer a series of independent sessions designed for persons new to Trinity or those wishing more in depth information about Trinity and the United Methodist Church. Topics covered include Trinity History, United Methodist History, United Methodist Beliefs, Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts, Stewardship and Organization and Sacraments and Church Membership. Through this series we aim to help new persons grow in their faith and discover new insights about the church. Homebuilders: (Level 1 - Room 9) Participants are young adults with active families. With Wayne and Beth Brown as primary teachers, we will cover a variety of topics on marriage, prayer, current issues and issues that speak to us, as we continually search for ways to keep God as a focus in our busy lives. We are joined by our faith and desire to continually build our relationship with the Lord. The added bonus is that we like to have fun! We plan social activities throughout the year. Join us for a 30-week course on how to read music taught by a few of TrinityÕs talented music educators. Each class will include a lesson on one of the building blocks of music (rhythm, melody, dynamicsÉ), a practical application of your reading skills on an instrument, such as piano, and the story behind some of our favorite hymns. Classes will be organized in units so you can focus on a particular music reading skill, but we encourage you to take the entire 30-week course so you can walk out as a musical pro! Classes are Sundays from 9:30-10:15 am beginning September 16. More information about unit topics and teachers to come! Second Sunday Artists Series

Mark your calendars, from October to May, for FREE concerts at Trinity. The concerts are held in the sanctuary on the second Sunday of the month at 1:30 pm. Local musicians provide entertaining and inspirational programs for all to enjoy! In October, the Trinity Director of Music and the Organist will team up with friends. In November, we feature the 3 Divas. The December concert is The Sound of Christmas with bells, flutes, brass and lots of carol singing by the audience, and the January concert features the Spirituals Project. Look for announcements on 2008 concerts in the church's monthly newspaper, ÒVision,Ó in the weekly ÒGood NewsÓ email as well as the Sunday church bulletin.

Trinity School for the Arts

The purpose of Trinity School for the Arts is to develop and foster understanding of the relationship between arts, religion, theology and spirituality (A.R.T.S.).

The Artists Way Classes: These classes are led by creative, enthusiastic teachers and are held in the fall and spring. The class is based on Julia Cameron's book of the same name. There is a fee for the class. Look for announcements scheduling in the church's monthly newspaper, "Vision," in the weekly "Good News" email as well as the Sunday church bulletin.

Intervals of Joy: (Loft: enter through fellowship hall) Have you ever wanted to learn to read the music for a hymn rather than just the words? Do you dream of joining the choir, but are afraid of what's on the page? Would you like to be able to play a little piano? Would you like to learn more about the story behind our hymns? Join us for a 30-week course on how to read music taught by a few of Trinity's talented music educators. Each class will include a lesson on one of the building blocks of music (rhythm, melody, dynamics), a practical application of your reading skills on an instrument, such as piano, and the story behind some of our favorite hymns. Classes will be organized in units so you can focus on a particular music reading skill, but we encourage you to take the entire 30-week course so you can walk out as a musical pro! Classes are Sundays from 9:30-10:15 am beginning September 16. More information about unit topics and teachers to come! Contact Judith Mitchell through the church office or at jmitchell@trinityumc.org

Theatre and Theology Series: This unique ministry works in conjunction with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Participants view a play and then participate in a Òtalk backÓ lecture led by Rev. Daniel Bollman (ELCA). Tickets may be purchased at the church office. Checks are payable to Trinity United Methodist Church. For additional information, please contact Susan Bishop and John Strombeck at 303-722-9322 or Judith Mitchell at 30-839-1493 or jmitchell@trinityumc.org.
