Friday, November 10, 7 p.m. | Sanctuary (Level 4)
Something very unique and beautiful happens when a classical and acoustic guitar play together. The dynamic duo of Darren Curtis Skanson and Gregg Hansen have discovered this sound and bring their audiences this fresh, original musical style called double-finger-style guitar.
Skanson and Hansen and the Skanson Strings return to Trinity for their fifth concert in our beautiful Sanctuary. A Trinity favorite, the ensemble will present their "Golden Classics In Concert" program. Highlights include
- Cellists Wayne Templeman and Richard Von Foerster, back by popular demand
- Classical arrangements of Beethoven, Bach and Pachelbel
- Fiery Spanish and Flamenco pieces like Malaguena and Samba Caliente
- 3-screen multi-media presentation accompanying every song
In a special collaboration this year, the Chancel Choir will join Darren and Gregg in performing Schubert's Ave Maria, Morning Has Broken and Amazing Grace. It will be an evening of music-making you will not want to miss! This event is a fundraiser hosted by our Trinity Chancel Choir.
Tickets: $15 for adults, $10 for students (age 8+)
Purchase online or in Trinity Café on Sunday mornings starting October 1.
