Trinity School for the Arts develops
and fosters understanding of the relationship between the source of the
Arts and that of Religion, Theology and Spirituality.
The
Artists Way
Beginning in January 2008, the School for the Arts will
be sponsoring "The Artist's Way" class based on the book of
the same name by Julia Cameron. Dr. Phil Thompkins will be teaching this

Musikgarten Adults is a 60-minute class which creates a fun, stress-free environment in which adults can easily learn to play the piano. No experience is necessary to take this class! Our current students have discovered how easy this method of learning can be compared to their experiences with traditional programs when they were younger. Recent scientific studies have established the connection between active music-making and improved physical wellness, so not only will you learn to play the piano, but you’ll feel better, too!
To register: Fill out a registration form and return it to the address on the form with your $25 fee. Registration forms are available on-line or by contacting Jackie Ives at 303-254-8489 or ivessteeno@msn.com.

Intervals of Joy - Learn to Read
Music!
Have you ever wanted to learn to read the music for a hymn rather than
just the words? Do you dream of joining the choir, but are afraid of what's
on the page? Would you like to be able to play a piano? Would you like
to learn more about the story behind our hymns?
Join us for a 30-week course on how to read music taught by a few of Trinity's
talented music educators. Each class will include a lesson on one of the
building blocks of music (rhythm, melody, dynamics...), a practical application
of your reading skills on an instrument, such as piano, and the story
behind some of our favorite hymns. Classes are organized in units so you
can focus on a particular music reading skill. But we encourage you to
take the entire 30-week course so you can walk out as a musical pro! Classes
are Sundays form 9:30-10:15 am beginning September 16. More information
about unit topics and teachers to come! Contact Judith Mitchell through
the church office or at info@trinityumc.org.
Visual Arts Ministry
Visual Arts Ministry mission is to participate in understanding and experiencing
the connection between art and the self. We provide opportunities for
individuals to illuminate their own spirituality, finding the presence
of God in themselves and in art. Contact Judith Mitchell at 303-839-1493.
Dancers
Dancers dance! And if you would like to praise the Lord through dance
with other Trinity members, please contact Judith Mitchell at 303-839-1493.
We will then notify you of the rehearsal schedule.
